Defense Minister leaves to Juba to participate in JPSM’s Meetings
The Acting Defense Minister, Lieutenant-General Yassin Ibrahim Yassin to Juba leading the Sudan’s delegation to participate in the meetings of the Joint Political and Security Mechanism (JPSM) during 17-19 current January.
The Defense Minister’s delegation includes the Acting Minister of Interior, Commander of the Police Forces, Lieutenant General Anan Hamed Anan, Chief of the Military Intelligence Authority, Deputy Director of the General Intelligence Service, representative of the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and others.
The delegation was seen off by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant-General Issam Karrar.
It is noteworthy that the last meeting was held in Khartoum in May 2022, upon which the two sides agreed to supervise the security of the borders between the two countries, while the recent meetings will continue discussions on the issues related to the file of the joint political and security mechanism between the two countries.
