The Chairperson of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights meets with the delegation of Public Ombudsman’s Office

The President of the National Human Rights Commission, Dr. Rafat Mirghani Abbas Al-Amin, received the delegation of the Public Ombudsman’s Office headed by Dr. Ihsan Babaker, Acting Chief of Staff.

The meeting dealt with publicizing the roles and relationship of the two institutions and ways to operationalize them and cooperate and coordinate in relevant areas.

Dr. Rafah expressed his pleasure at the visit, stressing the important role of the Office in this phase and calling for the integration of efforts between the two institutions in the restitution of rights and the establishment of activities and workshops in the field of human rights.

The two institutions have agreed to continue to communicate and work towards designing an integrated partnership programme at the earliest.
