The Cabinet reviews the report on the performance of higher education

The Social and Cultural Development Sector in the Council of Ministers, in front of the Sector Head, Professor Mahmoud Sir Al-Khatim Al-Houri, Minister of Education, in charge of the necessity of creating the university environment and providing the requirements and aids for scientific research, as well as establishing partnerships between higher education institutions and the sectors of development, production and services.

This came when he reviewed today the performance report of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the first half of 2022, presented by Professor Mohamed Hassan Dahab, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in charge.

The report clarified the achievements made in the field of financing higher education, practical research, infrastructure projects, admission to higher education institutions, building national standards for institutional evaluation, planning and policies, as well as rehabilitating and training faculty members and research centers, as well as adding new colleges and departments in existing public universities and expanding in universities and colleges.

The sector also discussed a report on the performance of the General Administration of Admission, Evaluation and Documentation of Certificates, which dealt with the tasks and competencies of the administration in the field of admission to higher education institutions for Sudanese, Arab and foreign certificates, documenting university certificates, their equivalency and evaluation of certificates issued by non-Sudanese higher education institutions, as well as preparing reports and studies of acceptance, evaluation and documentation.

The report indicated the readiness of the General Administration for admission to start the admission procedures for the academic year 2022-2023 in the month of next October, immediately after the announcement of the results of the Sudanese certificate by accepting institutions of higher education with the latest technologies and systems in the admission and registration process.
