The RSF and the Red Cross organize a workshop on human rights

The RSF Human Rights and Child Protection Unit, in cooperation with ICRC, organized a training workshop on “International law, human rights and child protection” for 200 RSF staff.

Addressing the opening session of the workshop, Major General Jidu Hamdan Ahmed Abouchuk, Sector Commander of Northern Darfur, stressed the importance of these workshops in raising the capacity of troops and raising their awareness of human rights and international humanitarian law, adding that his forces pay great attention to human rights issues and how to apply international law as a fundamental and fundamental issue in people’s lives, as well as raising the awareness of the forces to meet all circumstances and make the law applicable.

Dr. Haseeb Yontham “Coco”, Head of the RSF Human Rights and Child Protection Unit, explained that the workshop was part of a series of workshops carried out by the Unit under the Enlightenment Project and the dissemination of knowledge education on conduct and rules of engagement, as well as on the ground of RSF and other forces’ commitment to human rights and their commitment to the application of international and humanitarian law on the ground.
