WhatsApp begins to roll out feedback to its users
The feedback feature on messages announced last month by WhatsApp has now been rolled out to its users. It works similar to how Facebook reactions work – it presses the WhatsApp message long and identifies the emoji you want to interact with.
For now, you can choose from six emojis – displayed by Meta’s CEO in his Facebook post below – but WhatsApp has promised to add support for more emojis and skin colour in the future.
The feedback feature on messages is already available to some users on the latest version of WhatsApp, but will take about a week or two before it reaches all WhatsApp users globally.
In addition to answering messages with emojis, WhatsApp users can also share larger files now as WhatsApp has increased the volume of file transfer from 100MB to 2GB.
Besides, WhatsApp doubled the maximum number of participants allowed in a group chat – from 256 to 512 people.
