The head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council issues a decision to assign a general director of the police force

Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, the head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, signed a decree giving Lieutenant General Khaled Hassan Mohieldin Al-Mahi, the director general of the police forces, the responsibilities and authority of the interior minister.

According to a statement made by the TSC’s media, “Al-Burhan issued a decision assigning Lieutenant General Khaled Hassan Muhyiddin al-Mahi, Director General of the Police Forces, with the tasks and powers of the Minister of Interior.”

To carry out this decision, he gave the Interior Ministry and the pertinent authorities instructions.

The functions of Director General of the Police Forces and Acting Minister of the Interior were transferred to Lieutenant General Khaled Hassan Mohieldin by Al-Burhan on May 15.
