The Sudanese army hands over 30 child under the age of 18 were fighting with the RSF to the International Committee of the Red Cross in Omdurman.
The Sudanese army said in a statement that it handed over to representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Omdurman 30 minors under the age of 18 who were fighting with the Rapid Support Forces.
The army confirmed that the handover of the children was in compliance with international humanitarian law, human rights law, and the child protection law, with representatives of the international organization handing them over to the National Council for Child Welfare, in preparation for handing them over to their families.
There was no immediate comment from the International Committee of the Red Cross or the Rapid Support Forces regarding the army’s statement.
