Renewed clashes between around the Army General Command

Battles renewed between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces yesterday, Thursday, in the vicinity of the Army General Command in eastern Khartoum, and at the Corps of Engineers south of Omdurman, according to what witnesses and residents reported.

Witnesses who spoke to the Arab World News Agency reported hearing strong explosions in the vicinity of the army command and thick clouds of smoke rising from the place.

For his part, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said Thursday that the United States is deeply concerned about reports of an imminent attack in El Fasher, North Darfur State in Sudan, and calls on the two warring parties to immediately stop launching further attacks.
