Local sources revealed that the Sudanese army’s warplanes targeted, today, the Rapid Support Forces’ sites in the city of Tamboul, east of Al Jazeera, and the “Al-Junaid” sugar factory, causing heavy losses among these forces, which continued to mobilize their members from the eastern Nile region and from the west of Al Jazeera towards its east.
According to sources, the pace of violations by the Rapid Support Forces has increased due to the lack of transportation, which forced a number of citizens to move on foot from Tambool, east of the island, and from there to the Al-Sabbagh area in Gedaref State, a distance estimated at 164 kilometers.
The Rapid Support Forces took control of the city of Tamboul on October 22, following battles with the Sudanese army and its supporting battalions, following the announcement of the defection of its commander in the state.
