Member of the Sovereign Council Mr. Malik Aqar meets with an American investment delegation

Transitional Sovereign Council member Malik Aire met with his office in the Republican Palace today the US investment delegation that is currently visiting the country.

Dr. Mohammed Abderrahim, Chief Executive Officer of the Federation of Arab Exporters and Importers of the Sudan, said that the visit of the United States delegation to the Sudan came at the invitation of the Federation to learn about the country’s economic and development opportunities.

The delegation had met with the designated Ministers of Industry and Commerce and had received information on Sudan’s promising investment areas.

The member of the Sovereign Council welcomed the delegation’s visit and hoped that it would contribute to enhancing opportunities for cooperation in various areas between the two countries.

For his part, the representative of the United States delegation, Mr. Lawrence, said that the meeting addressed prospects for cooperation in the areas of technology, infrastructure, training and capacity development.

The delegation’s visit to the Sudan was aimed at identifying the promising possibilities and opportunities for investment in the Sudan.
