Research cooperation between the Sudan and Qatar in the field of livestock
Minister of Livestock and Fisheries, Hafiz Ibrahim Abdulnabi, with Qatar’s Ambassador to Khartoum Abdulrahman bin Ali Al-Kubaisi, discussed bilateral relations between Qatar and the Sudan and ways to support and develop them, especially in the field of livestock.
In his meeting with the Ambassador of Qatar to Khartoum, the Minister said that the meeting touched on trade between the two countries, noting the existence of joint agreements between the two countries in the field of livestock, stressing that Qatar is one of the pivotal countries in the Arab Gulf region.
The Minister reaffirmed the commitment to provide and meet Qatar’s livestock needs, especially as it is set to host the Cas World Championships.
He noted that the meeting touched on the joint exchange in the field of capacity, efficiency, expertise and technology, in addition to investing in slaughterhouses, quarries, veterinary laboratories and others, as well as Qatar’s request for sources of camel, stressing the study of this matter.
Qatar’s Ambassador to Khartoum Abdul Rahman bin Ali Al-Kubaisi stressed the strong relations between the two countries and ways to develop them, especially in the field of livestock, and to meet his country’s needs for livestock from the Sudan.
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Livestock, Dr. Jafar Saad, stressed that the Sudan is abundant in livestock and natural pastures. He said, “We aspire to Qatar’s investment in livestock. We stand ready to provide all the needs of Qatar for red meat and living livestock that meet global health requirements.
