Al-Burhan calls on UN and organizations to support Sudan’s efforts to achieve food security
Sudan has called on the United Nations and its specialized agencies, regional organizations and friendly and brotherly countries to contribute to supporting its efforts to achieve food security through the transfer of agricultural technology, capacity building and support for agricultural research centers.
The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, said in his address before the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York this evening, that the escalation of the crisis of rising food and energy prices requires more international cooperation.
In this context, the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council reiterated that Sudan is qualified to achieve food security at the regional and international levels.
