European parliamentarians and experts condemn the UAE’s funding for the rapid support militia
European parliamentarians and experts condemned the UAE for funding the rebel rapid support militia against the Sudanese armed forces and for supporting the crimes and violations committed by this militia during a symposium organized by the Strasbourg Policy Centre on the UAE’s role in the Sudan War
Italian Senate Parliamentary Cooperator Mr. Giovanni Barretta said the UAE was working to destabilize the Sudan through its unlimited support for the leader of the Hemeti Rapid Support Militia.
Parliamentarian and international relations expert Luca Antonio stressed that the UAE’s support for the militia was fuelling the flames of the conflict in the Sudan and prolonging the war in the Sudan.
Lieutenant General Yasser al-Atta, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and member of the Transitional Sovereign Council, had launched a violent attack on the UAE and accused it directly of supporting and financing the Rapid Support Militia.
