My expert group workshop recommends the necessity of peaceful circulation of power and democratic transition
The workshop “Sudan Reality and the Financier Future”, organized by my country’s group of experts at the Agency of the Sudan, recommended reviewing agreements with companies investing in minerals compared to other regional countries and enacting and developing legislation governing minerals, as well as preparing geological management for its role in developing its laboratories to keep pace with global development and the government’s entry into investment.
It further recommended the importance of creating a constructive and transparent grass-roots dialogue and the implementation of outcomes of dialogue that are outdated and manifest, making it one of the supreme interests of the State “national security”, forming a people’s parliament, as well as an elected parliament, and the need to immediately begin drafting accurate statistics on corruption with the participation of responsible actors from the prosecution, the judiciary, police, jurists and activists, and preventing sovereign actors from interfering in corruption cases negatively or positively.
It also recommended reviewing the political funding of parties, organizations and individuals, examining the causes of nervousness, raising the cultural and social level of citizens to counter any indications or calls of racism and identity in the State, preventing the independence of politicians and statesmen for racial and ethnic crises or the consequences of wars and armed or unarmed conflicts, and establishing deterrent penalties for any person who engages in racist or regional acts.
It recommended exposing and declaring any private entities promoting identity in all media and their punishments and implementing uniform disclosure policies in the movement of personnel, labour, police and military, the need for peaceful handling of authority, reasonable and prudent democratic transition, activating field work between citizens and the Government and creating a professional and positive environment to restore confidence between the parties.
The workshop was moderated by Professor Ahmed Sabah Al-Khair and addressed several papers (the political crisis in Sudan – causes and solutions) presented by Professor Rahima Hamid, a strategist and Deputy Secretary-General of the Track Party (the role of mineral resources “at this stage” as deplorable resources and their contribution to sustainable development provided by Dr. Abdelbaki Jilani, followed by Dr. A paper presented by Professor Aladdin Al-Zaky Al-Sagh (Importance of Community Dialogue in Reforming the Economic and Political Situation in the Sudan), submitted by Dr. Al-Muhammad ‘ Mustafa Najem al-Bashari, followed by Dr. Mohammed Khair Hassan, paper (Mechanisms for creating effective partnership between the Government and the people), submitted by Dr. Abu al-Qasim Mohammed Dafallah, a strategist, followed by Engineer Aladdin Muhyiddin, a paper (Economics of Corruption in Sudan), presented by Dr. Magda Mustafa Sadik, an economist, Head of Economics at Sudan International University and followed by Dr. Rasalat Abdullah, Professor at Khartoum University .
