The armed forces declare their full control over Omdurman

For the first time since last year’s fighting between the parties to the conflict in the Sudan began, the Sudanese army deployed its troops to the main Omdurman market following the expulsion of the Rapid Support Forces.

Members of the armed forces were deployed throughout the city to announce the expulsion of rapid support elements according to Al-Arabiya.

This is the first time the armed forces have declared full control of Omdurman since the start of the Battle of Dignity on April 15, 2023, following rapid support for the forcible seizure of power.
