The European Union plans additional support for education in the Sudan
EULEX announced the bloc’s planning to provide additional support for education in the country, including school feeding programmes in the near future.
The Sudan ranked second in the list of countries where education systems are at risk of disruption in the Save the Children classification published on 4 October.
The mission said in a statement Sunday that “the Federation supports basic education in the Sudan by working with the implementing partner: Children’s Welfare Organization, to ensure the right to education of more than 60 thousand children in 180 schools.”
“Additional support from the EU including school feeding programmes has been planned for the near future and teachers are benefiting from the project through training and incentives.”
