Al-Burhan designates “Sovereign” officials to monitor the ministries
The President of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, issued a decision assigning council members to supervise the ministries.
Al-Burhan gave Malik Aqar, his deputy, the responsibility of monitoring a variety of ministries, including those for oil, higher education, culture, media, social development, and education.
Shams al-Din Kabbashi, a member of the Sovereignty Council, was given the responsibility of monitoring the Interior, Foreign Affairs, Justice, Irrigation and Water Resources, and Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
Yasser Al-Atta, a member of the Sovereignty Council, was also given responsibility for the ministries of defense and finance, the Sudanese Central Bank, the attorney general, and the national auditor.
Council member Ibrahim Jaber will monitor the ministries of agriculture, livestock, trade, industry, investment, international cooperation, communications, and transportation.
