Al-Burhan in the Red Sea

In his the first government presidential visit outside of Khartoum, the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, chaired a security committee meeting in the Red Sea State.

The President reviewed the overall security situation in the state and praised the efforts of the state government in promoting civil and societal peace.

He also thanked the citizens of the state for their warm welcome to those who have arrived from war-torn areas since April 15th.

It is worth noting that the Red Sea State is the second destination for him after his visit to the River Nile State. According to sources, he is expected to travel outside Sudan to Egypt, which will be his first destination outside Sudan since the outbreak of war.
