Al-Burhan returns after participating in the IGAD summit in Djibouti

On the evening of today, the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, First Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, returned to the country after attending the extraordinary session of the IGAD Assembly held in Djibouti, with regional and international attendance.

Al-Burhan addressed the summit, emphasizing the country’s determination to find solutions to the Sudanese crisis and to stop the destruction caused by its battles with the rebellious Rapid Support Forces militia, welcoming all efforts and initiatives that achieve stability and security in the country.

He also affirmed in his speech that the issue of having one national army is a non-negotiable matter for the continuation of Sudanese and regional peace.
