Army: Despite our commitment to the truce, we will respond decisively to any rebel violations
Today, Sunday, the Sudanese army affirmed its commitment to the truce that was reached on Saturday for a period of 72 hours, but they threatened to respond decisively to any violations by the “rapid support” forces.
The Sudanese army said in a statement on Twitter: “We note that despite our commitment to the truce, we will deal with a decisive response to any violations committed by the rebels during its validity period.”
Sudanese Armed Forces announced its “approval of the proposal of the facilitators of the Jeddah talks for a truce to facilitate the humanitarian aspects for a period of 72 hours.”
