Dr Abdelbaki Abdelkader meets with the President of the National Human Rights Commission

The member of the Transitional Sovereign Council Dr. Abdelbaki Abdelkader Al-Zubeir meets the president of the National Human Rights Commission, Dr. Rafat Mirghani Abbas. The meeting touched on recent events in Western Darfur and efforts to address their results.

In a press statement, the President of the Commission explained that the meeting was an opportunity to see the results of the visit of the Federal Fact-Finding Committee chaired by the member of the Sovereign Council, Dr. Abdelbaki Abdelkader for Krinke and El Geneina localities in Western Darfur, and the Committee’s actions to address the situation in the region.

Professor Rafat Mirghani added that UNHCR would prepare a comprehensive report on the results of its visit to the events areas of Western Darfur State.
