Floods Committee: Nile water reaches flood level at Khartoum and Atbara
The Floods Committee affirmed in its daily statement today that Khartoum and Atbara have reached the flood level, as the flow of the Blue Nile at the Sudanese-Ethiopian border recorded 557 million cubic meters (60 million cubic meters less than last year), and River Atbara recorded 482 million cubic meters (higher than last year by 282 million cubic meters, while that of the White Nile recorded 160 million cubic meters per day.
In its daily report, the committee warned citizens living on the banks of the main Nile and Atbara River to take precautions to preserve their lives and properties.
