Historic visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the State of Qatar
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met at the Amiri Diwan in Doha, with His Highness Prince Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Prince of the State of Qatar, where an official reception ceremony was held for him, the two national anthems were played and the guard of honor was paraded.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the President and His Highness Prince Tamim bin Hamad held individual talks, which were followed by an expanded session of talks that included the delegations of the two countries.
For the recent path of excellence in relations between the Egyptian and Qatar sides, praising the brotherly ties between the two countries, and expressing his appreciation for the Egyptian efforts in support of Arab and Gulf affairs at all levels, while emphasizing Qatar’s keenness to strengthen bilateral cooperation frameworks between the two sides in various fields during the coming period, by increasing Qatar investments in Egypt and taking advantage of the investment opportunities available there,his Highness Prince Tamim bin Hamad also praised the prominent Egyptian role in strengthening the mechanisms of joint Arab action in facing the current crises and challenges in the region, which is a model to be followed in maintaining stability and advancing the development, economic and social conditions in the Arab world.
From his side; The President expressed his appreciation and gratitude to his brother, His Highness, prince Tamim, for the warm reception and generous hospitality, praising what the recent visit of His Highness Prince of the State of Qatar to Cairo last June reflected in the strengthening of relations between the two countries, stressing his sovereignty over Egypt’s openness towards deepening bilateral relations at all levels, and pushed it to wider and in various political, security, economic and commercial fields.
The Spokesman added that the meeting witnessed a discussion of ways of enhancing aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and maximizing joint trade, economic and investment relations, which would positively advance the bilateral relations between the two sides in various tracks.
The two leaders also exchanged visions on developments in Arab, regional and international issues of common interest, as they agreed on the importance of strengthening coordination between the two countries for a sustainable political settlement of the region’s crises, as an essential part of maintaining regional security and stability, and in a way that achieves the hopes of the Arab peoples to live in peace and stability.
