Israeli Air Force joins ‘Red Flag’ exercise over Nevada
The Israeli army spokesman stated that the US and Israeli air forces began the “Red Flag” maneuvers at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.
The American-Israeli maneuvers will last for two weeks, and aim to provide realistic training in air combat for military pilots, and to carry out attacks on strategic targets deep in enemy territory.
The United States of America and Israel have conducted many joint military maneuvers before, the most recent of which was last January, when the two armies participated in a maneuver that Israel described as “the most important of all” and carried a message to Iran.
Last November, Israel and the United States participated in air maneuvers that were described as major, and the Israeli newspaper The Jerusalem Post said that they simulated offensive strikes against the Iranian nuclear program.
