Member of the sovereign. Al-Hadi Idris visits the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TECA)
Member of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Dr. Hadi Idris Yahya paid a field visit to the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TECA) at its headquarters in the Turkish capital, Ankara, during which he met with the Director General of the Agency.
In the presence of the Minister of Culture and Information, Professor Graham Abdelkader and Ambassador of Sudan to Turkey, Ambassador Nader Yusuf and Sultan Ahmed Hussein Ayyub Ali Dinar.
The meeting touched on projects being implemented by Tika in the Sudan, including the rehabilitation project of Sultan Ali Dinar’s Palace, as well as some educational, health and livestock projects.
The Director of the Teka Foundation, Mr. Serkan Kailar, said in a press statement that these projects contribute to the consolidation of bilateral relations between the Sudan and Turkey.
He pointed out the links and historical relations between the Sudanese and Turkish peoples.
The Minister of Culture and Information said that the visit of the member of the Sovereign Council to the headquarters of the Agency appreciated the role it played in supporting the Sudan, particularly in the areas of health, education and restoration of monuments. The member of the Sovereign Council stressed the need for cooperation between Teka and Sudanese civil society organizations in the framework of strengthening bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries.
The reopening of the Sultan Ali Dinar Palace will be a top priority for these projects.
The Minister of Culture and Information expressed the hope that the projects put forward during the meeting would serve the interests of the two peoples.
