Minister of Culture and Information meets Indian Ambassador
Acting Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Graham Abdel-Gadir met in his office the Ambassador of the Republic of India to Sudan, HE Mr. B.S. Mubarak.
The meeting came within the framework of cultural exchanges between the two countries.
Dr. Graham Abdel-Gadir stressed the depth and strength of the Sudanese-Indian relations, pointing to the importance of cultural activities that bring the two countries together.
In a press statement, the minister noted that the past month witnessed visits by Indian cultural troupes to Sudan, during which they presented cultural performances at the Friendship Hall, the National Theater and educational institutions as well as to the Indian community in Sudan.
In return, a Sudanese Folklore troupe will participate in cultural performances in India in early February, within the framework of cultural exchanges between the two countries, he added.
The minister indicated that this year will witness opportunities for cooperation in cultural fields that are considered positive opportunities that serve the two peoples.
