Minister of Interior meets his Senegalese counterpart and discusses issues of mutual interest

Lieutenant General Annan Hamid Mohamed Omar, Minister of the Interior in charge this morning of his Senegalese counterpart, Mr. Félix Antoine Abdallah, met with his office at the Senegalese Ministry of the Interior as part of his visit to West African States.

The meeting discussed a number of issues and issues of mutual interest between the two countries’ ministries of the interior and ways to strengthen police cooperation, coordination and exchange of information in the field of security, in particular the following transit crimes, counter-terrorism issues, illegal migration and cybercrime (electronic), facilitating the entry and exit of nationals of the two countries, as well as exchanging experiences and building capacity for police officers of the two countries by studying this and translating it by preparing a draft memorandum of understanding to translate on the ground.

For its part, Team 1 Annan Police paid for the role of the Senegalese Police through its participation in the peacekeeping operation within the UNAMID forces in the Darfur States during the past period and invited its Senegalese counterpart to visit the Sudan soon
