RSF Penetrates The Ceasefire by Killing a Citizen in the East Nile Region

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) violated the ceasefire by killing a citizen named Mohamed Sadek in the Al-Haj Youssef neighborhood in the East Nile region. The RSF attempted to seize his car after he refused to give it to them.

Negotiations in Jeddah between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the RSF, sponsored by Saudi Arabia and the United States, resulted in a 48-hour ceasefire that began last night. Both parties agreed not to attack from their positions and to secure hospitals and open safe passages for humanitarian aid.

However, as soon as the ceasefire started, the RSF attacked Mohamed Sadek’s home and killed him when he refused to give them his car, making it the first violation of the ceasefire.

The war between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the RSF has been ongoing for 39 days.
