Sudan , Malaysia Emphasize Cooperation in Field of Livestock
The Minister of Animal Resources, Hafez Ibrahim Abdul-Nabi, has stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination between Sudan and Malaysia in the fields of livestock and fisheries to contribute to the advancement of the national economy.
The remarks were made by the Sudanese Minister during his meeting in his office with Ambassador of Sudan to Malaysia, Hassan Abdul-Salam Omer, who affirmed his ministry’s commitment to setting up a genuine and distinguished partnerships with Malaysia.
Abdul-Nabi noted that the livestock sector represents an important and renewable economic resource, stressing that the Malaysian market is one of the markets that targeted by the Sudanese exports of livestock products thanks to global health requirements, a matter that contributes to the promotion of exports, referring to the growing demand for meat in the Arab and international markets in order to contribute to achieving the global food security initiative.
The Sudan’s Minister of Livestock stressed the importance of reactivation of the agreements and the memorandum of understanding signed between Sudan and Malaysia in all areas of livestock.
On his part, Sudan Ambassador to Malaysia, Hassan Abdul-Salam Omer, called for benefiting from the Malaysian technology in domains of fisheries, training, rehabilitation and upgrading capacities, in addition to participating in the exhibitions.
