Sudan participates in meetings of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture

Sudan participated in the thirty-fourth meeting of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, which was held by default through the Zoom application chaired by Mr. Abdullah Saleh Kamel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber, and the participation of all members of the Board of Directors from various Islamic countries.

At the meeting, the representative of the Federation, Mr. Malik Sheikh Haj Mahmoud, Vice-President of the Employers’ Union, explained that the deliberations of the meeting, which discussed a number of agenda and important issues that contribute to the development and development of economic and trade cooperation relations, increase the volume of trade exchanges and revitalize intra-Islamic trade, passed the draft budget for the 2023 Islamic Chamber.

The meeting also discussed the proposal to amend the name and logo of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture to keep abreast of future economic development and activity and the nature of international variables.

Emphasis is placed on the need to develop the Chamber’s name and visual identity to include, along with trade, industry and agriculture, new forms and patterns of work relevant to the private sector.

Mr. Malik noted that the meeting approved the next meeting No. (35) of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber during this year 2023 the city of Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, hosted by the National Federation of Business Organizations of Azerbaijan as Doha – Qatar – hosts next July meetings of the General Assembly of the Chamber.

Mr. Malik also noted the Union’s keenness as a representative of the Sudanese private sector to participate in such events as those organized by economic entities and groupings to preserve the membership of the Sudan and the membership of the Federation as a member of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber and to achieve aspirations to strengthen and develop the relations of national private sector employees with their business counterparts in OIC countries.
