Sudanese and Egyptian naval forces conduct joint exercises

Sudan and Egypt: Joint maritime training (SUD-EGY-T-1) in maritime security and addressing atypical threats.
The exercises were carried out in accordance with the statement of the Egyptian armed forces over several days at the naval base in Port Sudan, Republic of the Sudan.
The training included the organization of numerous lectures and workshops to harmonize concepts among the participants in the topics of maritime security, illegal migration, countering terrorism and atypical threats, and a number of recommendations that reinforce both countries’ joint efforts to counter illegal maritime activities within the Red Sea.
The Egyptian statement stated that the training comes “within the framework of the joint training plan of the armed forces with sister and friendly countries to strengthen partnerships and military cooperation in various fields.”
