The intelligence service receives humanitarian aid from Egyptian counterpart
Major General Abbas Muhammad al-Labib, head of the Supreme Committee of the General Intelligence Service to ward off the effects of torrential rains and floods, received today a convoy of humanitarian aid provided by the Egyptian intelligence service.
The aid was delivered via a land bridge through the northern artery, as it was the first land convoy carrying humanitarian aid to come from outside Sudan, at the entrance to Khartoum state, the western region, omdurman contains foodstuffs, medicines, tents and mattresses.
In a press statement after receiving the convoy, Major General Abbas Muhammad al-Labib expressed his great thanks and appreciation to the government and people of the Arab Republic of Egypt, especially the Egyptian General Intelligence for its support and standing with the Sudanese people.
He said that the convoy came at a time when everyone needed it. It contained 918 tons of foodstuffs and 192 tons. Medicines, 6 tons of tents, and 1168 mattresses and sheets loaded on 90 trucks, describing the convoy as fragrant the meaning of brotherhood, cohesion and compassion between the peoples of the Nile Valley and emphasizes the meaning of fraternity between the two brotherly countries.
