The Sudan participates in the work of the 66th session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency
Professor Mohamed Hassan Dahab, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, led the delegation of the Sudan participating in the 66th session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which began its work in Vina and continues until next Friday.
The Agency’s role in combating the coronavirus pandemic and some financial and administrative issues is also addressed.
The Sudan’s participation in this session is part of efforts to strengthen the country’s partnership with the Agency in the use of atomic energy in the areas of health, agriculture, livestock, water resources, education and energy to support the national economy and achieve sustainable economic and social development.
The Sudan’s delegation to the Conference included the Federal Minister of Health, experts from the Ministry of Health, the Atomic Energy Authority, the National Agency for Nuclear and Radiological Control and the Permanent Mission of the Sudan to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
