The Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Livestock commends the support of the IGC

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Livestock, Dr. Hassan Al-Thom, met with the Director’s Library of the Centre for Pastoral Areas and Livestock Development. The meeting addressed the programs funded by the Center for the Ministry in the coming period.

The agent stressed the importance of joint cooperation and coordination between his Ministry and the Centre for Pastoral Areas and Livestock Development, leading in support of livestock projects and programmes.

He commended the role of the Centre in supporting the Ministry’s programmes and plans, which contributed to the advancement of the national herd, noting the Centre’s contribution to the development of research, vaccines and veterinary serums, the fight against transboundary diseases and the reduction of their spread by providing mobile clinics.

For his part, Dr. Hassan Ali Abbas, Director of the Regional Centre for Leadership, Sudan Office, emphasized the support of IGAD for programmes to combat transboundary diseases in order to contribute to the development and development of the livestock sector as well as its support for livestock census programmes.

For his part, the Director of the Centre for Pastoral Areas and Livestock Development confirmed the importance of cooperation and coordination between the Centre and the Ministry of Livestock.

A regional conference of ministers of livestock had been convened under the leadership to discuss the policies, plans and programmes of the region’s States and to sign bilateral cooperation agreements with the States of the region with a view to exchanging benefits in the field of livestock development.
