Training for the security forces concerned with the protection of civilians to be launched
The first training courses for the security forces in Darfur, concerned with the protection of civilians, will be launched tomorrow in the capital of North Darfur, El Fasher, as part of the training plan prepared by the Joint Higher Military Committee for Security Arrangements.
Member of the Joint Higher Military Committee for Security Arrangements, Brig. General Ahmed Yahya Gedo said that the target number of the training course, which will start tomorrow, Monday in Dar Al-Arqam, is 1704 trainees, including 125 officers, and that the course will last for three weeks, in which special training doses will be provided to the security forces in Darfur.
The training of this force will be attended by leaders from the Joint Higher Military Committee for Security Arrangements, the Darfur track, officials from the government of North Darfur state, specialized training centers, the African Center for Governance and Democratic Transition, in coordination with the Nimeiri Military Academy, the UN concerned organizations concerned, the Red Cross and UNITAMS.
