TSC President meets delegation of Sudanese Universities Union

The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met in his office the delegation of the Sudanese Universities Union led by Professor Mohamed Hassan Dahab, the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The Head of the Sudanese Universities Union and the Director of the University of Khartoum, Professor Imad Al-Din Al-Amin Al-Taher Ardeeb, noted in press statement that the meeting discussed a number of axes, including the importance of establishing a fund to support higher education and academies in some Sudanese embassies abroad, and the the problems of Sudanese university councils and the appointment of presidents and members for them.

Prof. Ardeeb added that the meeting also discussed the problems and challenges facing Sudanese universities, represented in the high cost of electricity, and the importance of supporting e-learning and establishing educational platforms.

He pointed out that the meeting has also tackled the problem of restoring the hostels of the University of Khartoum, indicating that the Chairman of the TSC promised to solve all the problems facing Sudanese universities.
