Tunisia expresses its desire to import Sudanese meat
The Minister of Livestock Resources, Mr. Al-Hafiz Ibrahim Abdel Nabi, discussed expanding joint cooperation and developing Tunisian relations in the fields of livestock and transferring Sudan’s experiences, especially in the field of marine fishing, and how to import Sudanese meat.
He met in his office the Tunisian Ambassador to Sudan, Mr. Shafiq Hajji, and in the presence of the Undersecretary of his Ministry, Dr. Prince Jaafar Saad, and the directors of the Planning and Fisheries Departments, in the context of activating the previous agreements that have been implemented since 2005, as well as the executive programs that were signed in 2017 and how to own them to benefit between the two brotherly countries.
He described the meeting as important for what he referred to in the agreement to the main points of his ministry. Emphasizing his ministry’s readiness to activate all agreements and restore executive programs for livestock projects, he said: “We are working hard to implement them on the ground”.praising the Tunisian government’s firm desire for red meat exports in Sudan, which is one of his ministry’s strategies to support the national economy.Noting that North African countries are among the target markets for import are our exports that meet all the requirements declaring his readiness to welcome the Tunisian delegation from the Tunisian government meat company, which will visit the country later to learn about the possibilities of livestock in Sudan.
The meeting agreed to encourage sending trainees during the next month for training in the field of fisheries , as well as cooperation in the field of fodder production.
For his part, Ambassador Shafiq Hajji said that “we discussed during the meeting the needs of our country for Sudanese meat and their readiness to import it and how to cooperate in the field of fish farming”
He expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Animal Wealth for the good reception and his ministry’s willingness to meet all desires in the field of activating and owning agreements to create a qualitative leap between the two ministries in supporting and developing the economy between the two brotherly countries.”We hope for all that has been agreed upon in the near future”.
