Vice-President of the Sovereign Council Receives Ethiopia’s Director of Intelligence

The Vice-President of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, received in his office the Director of Ethiopia’s National Security and Intelligence Service (NISS) Mr. Tamsgen Taruneh in the presence of the Director of General Intelligence, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufidel.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the Sudan and Ethiopia and ways to strengthen them in all areas in the interests of the two fraternal peoples.

The Vice-President of the Sovereign Council commended the level of coordination and cooperation between the two countries. The Sudan welcomed the signing by the Ethiopian Government and the RPF of an agreement to halt the war and move towards peacebuilding.

On his part, the Director of Ethiopian Intelligence informed General Dagalo about the latest developments in his country in the light of the agreement with the Tarai Front, stressing that his country highly appreciated the Sudan’s efforts in support of the stabilization of Ethiopia, noting the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between the two countries in all areas in the interests of the two States and the region.
