World Food confirms cooperation with Kassala State to achieve common goals
The Deputy Country Director of the World Food Programme (WFP) in Sudan, Peter Rodges, stressed the continued cooperation between Kassala State and WFP to achieve the common objectives, noting that his visit to the state was successful and achieved its objectives, during which the activities of the Programme in the state were reviewed.
The Country Director of the Food Programme said in a press release that his meeting with Wally Kassala came out with a number of gains, the most important of which was the emphasis on the continuity of cooperation and the school feeding programme. He pointed out that the programme’s efforts and donors to seek further support for various activities and projects to provide food assistance to citizens in the most vulnerable areas.
The Deputy Director continued to work diligently to ensure the continued flow of assistance to the Sudan in general and the state of Kassala in particular, in coordination with the state government and its various agencies, and to identify the situation on the ground. He asked for more assistance, stressing that he continued to register visits to the state to learn about developments in the state.
