An anti-cancer drug that targets only sick cells
Eva Duska from the School of Chemical Engineering of Warsaw University of Technology found an anti-cancer drug.
It aims to relieve the side effects of chemotherapy and maintain a much lower cell vitality compared to conventional therapy.
Each cancer cell has a different pH which makes the recommended amount of drug very important and varies from patient to patient and therefore healthy tissue will be more protected.
The drug will be used to relieve the side effects of patients who have undergone radiotherapy and suffer from its complications, especially on the skin such as itching and dehydration.
