Al-Burhan bestows Order of the Two Niles on Turkish Ambassador to Sudan
President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council Gen. Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan has praised the advanced level of development witnessed by the Sudanese-Turkish relations in all fields.
This came when the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council received at the Republican Palace today the Turkish Ambassador to Sudan, Irfan Neziroglu, on the occasion of the expiry of his assignment in Sudan.
Al-Burhan conferred the Order of the Two Niles (First Class) on the Turkish Ambassador in appreciation of his efforts for developing and promoting the relations between his country and Sudan.
In a press statement, the Turkish ambassador stressed that the stability of Sudan is a priority for Turkey, and that his country’s clear message calls for non-interference in Sudan’s internal affairs.
The Turkish ambassador referred to the distinguished relations between Khartoum and Ankara, saying “we were lucky during my period of work, which witnessed the development of the relations between the two countries in the political, economic and agricultural aspects,” adding, “it also witnessed the exchange of visits at high levels, as President Erdogan visited Sudan, and the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and his deputy visited Turkey.”
Ambassador Neziroglu stated that conferring on him the highest order of Sudan is a great honor for him, and will always remind him of Sudan and its people and the deep-rooted relations between Khartoum and Ankara.
