Vice-President of the Sovereign Council to Uganda

The Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Mr. Malik Aqar, today travelled to Uganda for a several-day official visit.

During the visit, the Vice-President of the Council will hold a meeting with Ugandan President Yuri Museveni to discuss developments in the current situation in the Sudan. The visit will also address the course of bilateral relations between the two countries, ways of strengthening them and issues of mutual interest between the Sudan and Uganda.

During the visit, the Vice-President of the Sovereign Council will meet with European and African diplomatic missions.

He farewell to Port Sudan International Airport was the Secretary-General of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Mohamed Ghali Ali Yusuf.

During the visit, the Vice-President of the Council is accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Awad Ali Mohamed.
