Ambassador Mohammed Abdullah presents his credentials to US President Joe Biden

Ambassador Mohamed Abdullah Idris presented his credentials to US President Joe Biden as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sudan to the United States of America.

The Ambassador conveyed to the President of the United States the greetings of General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, President of the Transitional Sovereign Council, stressing the robustness and depth of relations between the two countries and expressing his desire to strengthen bilateral relations in various areas and strengthen friendly relations between the two peoples.

For his part, the United States President welcomed Mr. Ambassador, stating that the presence of an ambassador to the Sudan in Washington at this time was vital to work together to build and expand cooperation between the two countries, stressing his country’s interest in supporting the Sudanese people’s desire to promote democratic transition and political stability.

He stressed his administration’s aspiration to work together to develop relations between the United States of America and the Sudan for the benefit of the two friendly peoples.
