Accreditation of Sudan’s Ambassador to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization
Ambassador Majdi Ahmed Mufadil presented his credentials as Permanent Representative of the Sudan to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) to the Organization’s Executive Secretary, Mr. Robert Floyd.
The Ambassador stressed the Sudan’s readiness to support the Organization’s efforts in combating nuclear testing and non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and expressed the Sudan’s aspiration to strengthen its relations with the Organization, particularly in the areas of training and capacity-building.
He also expressed the Sudan’s desire to host regional activities for the organization in the country to publicize the organization and raise awareness of its objectives and activities.
For his part, Mr. Robert Floyd commended the partnership between the Organization and the Sudan for its willingness to continue to cooperate and provide further support. He also secured the Ambassador’s proposal to organize some activities in the Sudan.
He promised to study it within the framework of his plan of action for the coming period and welcomed Mr. Ambassador’s invitation to visit the country.
