Somali President Receives General Ibrahim Jaber
President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, Republican Palace of Mogadishu received a member of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Bahri Engineer Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, who delivered a written letter from the President of the Transitional Sovereign Council, General AbdAbdAbdul Fatah al Burhan.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dafullah El Hajj Ali, said in a press statement that the letter included the need to implement sustainable solutions agreed within the framework of the IQAD structuring process.
The meeting touched upon bilateral relations and ways to promote and develop joint cooperation in the interests of the two countries.
Ambassador Dafullah El Hajj Ali added that the Somali President requested to convey his compliments to the transitional President of the Sovereign Council, commending the Sudan’s efforts to operationalize the role of the Organization.
He supported all the contents of the Government of the Sudan’s road map in that regard and affirmed the participation of the Government of Somalia in the ministerial conference hosted by Khartoum on 30 November.
