Investment Minister: State Encourages Establishment of Solar Energy Projects
The Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Prof. Ehlam Medani Mahdi, has called for encouraging establishment projects for producing electricity power from solar energy in the country, noting that the country enjoys a strategic location in terms of the level of sunshine, which is suitable for these projects.
This came when the Minister received in her office a Korean investment delegation.
The Minister affirmed that the Investment Law encourages investment in the field of electricity projects from solar energy, stressing that energy projects contribute to supporting other economic sectors such as industry, agriculture and food security.
The minister affirmed availability of investment opportunities in Sudan in various fields, explaining that the investment environment in Sudan is attractive.
She stressed that the country welcomes the Korean businessmen to invest in Sudan.
The Korean delegation asserted their firm desire to invest in Sudan by establishing projects for producing electricity power from solar energy.
