What are the benefits of day naps?
Studies have shown that daytime rest reduces sleepiness and improves memory, providing immediate comfort for sleep deprivation sufferers.
However, sleeping during the day is not an easy task. But one life stunt can refresh you after just eight minutes of sleep.
Neuroscientist Alexandra Alkhina spoke to the medical website Medicform about the healthy short sleep method during the day, which is to lie on your back and put your feet on the edge of the bed or sofa.
“If you feel tired, you’ll take a nap for eight to ten minutes,” says Alkhina.
Here raise your legs above your heart level, lie down and put your feet on the sofa or something, set the alarm for 10 minutes.
If you are really tired, you will sleep very quickly, and when you wake up, you will feel like you have slept for six hours.
“The method became known after an officer in the United States Navy described the method in his book.
He explains that he sleeps for six to eight minutes and wakes up feeling “completely comfortable.
“There is scientific evidence that sleeping with slightly elevated legs can improve blood flow and circulation.
This in turn can relieve stress in the lower back or swollen legs and help the brain sleep faster.
