N. Kordofan Government Signs Agreement with UNICEF

The Government North Kordofan State signed an agreement with UNICEF to implement the annual work plan for the support of the state’s government for the year 2023.

The Acting (Wali) Governor of the state Fadlalla Mohamed Ali Al-Tom signed for the state’s government, while, the representative of the organization, Kordofan Sector, Hammad Abdalla signed for UNICEF, in a ceremony took place in the presence of the Secretary-General of the state Government and the officials of the Development Planning of the Ministry of Finance.

Director of the Development Planning at the Ministry of Finance of the state Dr. Jabr Al-Dar, pointed out that the agreement includes the implementation of the 2023 plan with a support amounted to more than 6 million dollars, which includes activities and projects to be implemented by UNICEF in the fields of water, education, health and child protection sectors.

The UNICEF representative for Kordofan sector referred to areas in which UNICEF operates activities in the state, praising cooperation of the state government with UNICEF, he renewed the organization commitment to continue supporting activities in the state, especially in the field of child protection.

North Kordofan State Governor praised the great role played by UNICEF in supporting the state, stressing the importance of continuous follow-up and continuity of projects, in addition to focusing on addressing homelessness issues among children.
