Strengthening cooperation between the Sudan and France in the field of livestock
Mr. Hafez Ibrahim Abdelnaby, Minister of Livestock and his delegation to the Sudan Pavilion at the International Animal Husbandry Fair in Clermont Ferrand, south-eastern France, received Mr. Marc Finau, Minister of Agriculture of France and accompanied by the Governor of Clermont Ferran, Mr édjac Chazolet, Director azolet.
The meeting discussed joint cooperation and ways to develop relations between the two countries and the possibility of developing partnership between the public and private sectors in the two countries.
Mr. Abdelnaby reviewed the economic potential and resources of the Sudan and offered the French Minister the desire and readiness of the Sudan to sign a cooperation agreement or memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Livestock and the French Ministry of Agriculture, which manages the livestock sector.
For his part, Mr. Marc Finau welcomed this proposal and accepted the signing of the agreement or memorandum of understanding in the coming period. The Director-General of the exhibition proposed that the Sudan be the guest of honour for the year 2023. The Minister agreed with this proposal, which was based on the participation of Mr. Al-Zawir in my version last year and is currently considered a positive indicator. Minister Hafiz Abdelnaby extended an invitation to his French counterpart to visit the Sudan and the French Minister welcomed the invitation.
The Minister led the delegation of the Sudan participating in the 31st session of the Clermont Livestock Summit in France, which began today and runs until 7 October with the participation of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and more than 80 countries and 1500 livestock companies.
