Sudan, Turkey Discuss Cooperation in Field of Industry
The Acting Minister of Industry, Batoul Abbas Awad Allam, has discussed the bilateral relations with Turkish Ambassador to Khartoum, Ismail Çobanoğlu and the Turkisk delegation for Small Industry Association led by Recep Ali Erdogan.
The Acting Minister of Industry underlined during her meeting in her office with the Turkish officials , the advanced level of the Sudanese-Turkish relations, calling for activating them and implementing the joint memorandums of understanding signed in 2017 with the Small Enterprises Development Organization through establishing joint industrial investment projects to benefit from the comparative advantages in the two countries, especially in the fields of sugar industry, spinning and weaving, ready-made clothes, leather and flour, with the exchange of visits between businessmen in the two countries.
She appreciated efforts fo the Turkish embassy in Khartoum for promotion of bilateral relations to serve the interests and aspirations of the two peoples, promising to visit Turkey to get acquainted with the Turkish experience in the field of industry and to hold industrial investment partnerships to push ahead aspects of economic and industrial cooperation between the two friendly countries.
For his part, the Turkish ambassador pointed out to the strategic cooperation relations friendship between Khartoum and Ankara, stressing the need to bilateral ties and promote aspects of joint cooperation in various fields, especially small and handicraft industry sector.
The chairperson of the Turkish Small Industry Association affirmed their support for many projects in this field for thirty years of experience, indicating their support for the small and craft industry sector in Sudan through the Federal Ministry of Industry and the competent authorities in the country.
